Have you noticed the ruin that you can see on top of the hills behind Guardea?
Back in the day the town of Guardea was residing high on the hill behind a ring wall surrounding the town.
Today there is not much left except for some of the old ring wall and the ruins of the tower.
Even though the buildings and materials have been removed to be reused when building the new Guardea, the place of the old town still offers a magnificent view of the new Guardea plus the valley with the river Tiber below.
Take a hike up to the old Guardea and enjoy the view.
