Swimming

The summer in Umbria can be quite warm, so you may want to go for a swim.
As Umbria does not have a coast then the drive to the Mediterranean or the Adriatic seas may take some 2 hours. 
But, there are other options. Umbria offers a number of lakes that are good for swimming, plus many municipalities have established pool areas that are open to the public.

Riva Verde - Lago di Bolsena

There are several places to go swimming around the shores of Lake Bolsena.
This place is nice with sunbeds, parasols and nice beach. The place also offers food and drinks, plus changing rooms.

Cold spring - Terme di Ramici

Nice grass covered area with trees and a couple of pools supplied from cold springs.
The water have a mild smell of sulfar.

Warm springs - Viterbo region

There are several thermal pools in the Viterbo region.
Some are charging an entry fee others are free.
