What Umbria lack in ocean and beaches it has plentiful in lakes, green lush mountains, rivers and waterfalls.

If you like waterfalls then Marmore is definately a place to visit, just try to avoid Italian public holidays as the site is a very popular.
Down in the valley below Guardea you can experience a beautiful bird sanctuary.
The place is full of life; birds, turtles, fish, amphibians and reptiles.

IMPORTANT - Park on Via Ortana - The town of Stifone does not offer much space for cars.

A few kilometres from the town of Soriano, in the hamlet of Chia, runs a beautiful stream through a rocky lush green ravine. The place is a quiet and the forest is magical.
This is a great place for a nice hike mixed with historic ruins from the 16th century.
